Simon’s Cycles YANA Bike Ride
YANA Comox Valley and Simon’s Cycles – together they’re a pretty dynamic combination.
This past Sunday, Aug. 21 marked the 4th annual Simon’s Cycles YANA Bike Ride fundraiser and once again, the community came out in droves to support this amazing organization.
With hundreds of volunteers on hand to feed, water and support the 600 registered riders, the Comox Valley roads came alive with riders sweating love for YANA. The momentum of this event is awe-inspiring, with businesses and individuals giving their all in support of this very important organization.
We want to give a huge shout out to Tom Broadley (who donated over 200 lbs of amazing cod for the fish tacos) Richard Hardy, Ian Zaharko and all the food volunteers who worked with us to feed all these hungry folks.
This is a community that shouts out their support loud and clear and the YANA organizers are tireless in their drive to make each event better. We’re so proud to be a part of it.
Thank you YANA. Thank you Comox Valley.
Fish tacos for YANA! Cod mixed with peaches from the Okanagan, with tons of fresh mint and cilantro, grated carrots and cabbage topped with a mango-coconut-mint dressing all served on a fresh corn tortilla.
